Hi Raven - I'm invigilating exams at a college and am just surfing and playing on the computer while students write furiously.
How lucky your daughter is - stars and glitter and baking and love. Apparently to raise resilient kids they need "good enough" parenting - not perfect, but just that relaxed loving atmosphere where they can truly be who they are. My "baby" just started menstruating last week - another passage and I can't help but worry how she will navigate the "magic, sex and politics" of her life's journey.
I still find this blogging phenomena strange, but enjoy these little windows into different lives to be a delicious treat!

Hello Robin. I love your comments - they are always so positive and warm you make me feel like I might just be on the right track sometimes!
I can't imagine my baby bird reaching puberty...I just went to check on her sleeping and was overwhelmed again by how little but big she is and how she has so much to look forward to (and avoid!). It all seems so impossible yet most of us get through without too much damage and as long as she knows who she is and is fairly content with herself I will feel like I have to some degree succeded... for now we will just enjoy each other!
I too am not entirely sure how I feel about blogging but because mine is so secret from most of my life I feel that if a stranger stumbles across it then I can only gain from their insight...

give me a chance - still 'managing' my mother and having to work loads (busy time for musicians this!) but I think there's a couple worth showing....keep watching.
