sunshine

I finished work really early yesterday so I got to spend the afternoon with my little girl in the sunshine in our little village where everything is coming to life really quickly. She has just learnt to walk by herself and she loves nothing more than wobbling through the little wood across the road which feels like it is our private magic land. I love spending time alone with her outside because she is fascinated and delighted by the tiny things which sometimes I miss in my preoccupation. And time seems to stand still when we are innocently discovering flowers and twigs together....things are so simple for her right now - and joyous. I wish I could make that last forever...
