I just took my girl for a walk in the pouring rain just so we could really feel alive. Thing is, I was so concentrated on making sure she was dry and warm that I totally forgot about myself until it was too late! I thoroughly enjoyed the dripping feeling though... I thought I'd post this picture for you Jessica as it made me think of something you said to me once a long time ago about thinking my face was ok except for the sides of my mouth which stick out slightly; they are the muscles I use for flute playing and the more I play, I have realised, the more prominant they are. I don't feel so bad about them since I worked that out!
(If you click on this picture you can see all the pretty raindrops)

We went to see my old dad recently. He is very important to me and this picture of him and my baby looks to me like a memory of him with me. He is very wise and a good storyteller...

This photo is awesome..
And I totally understand the way it makes you feel seeing him holding your baby and enjoying such a tender moment.
One day before my birth dad passed away he came for visit and he held my youngest son who was a few months old at the time.
I had the video cameral on a tripod and I sat beside him.
I asked him if it gave him back some of what he missed and he said YES very much so .
thanks for sharing.
thanks guys - I'm glad you appreciate the picture. I think it's one of my most precious ones...
Even today I like to have pictures taken with my Dad. If I ever have kids (I'm 32 & single) which doesn't seem likely I would love to have jsut such a picture. You realize that my last boyfriend is fromt he UK, he had to leave b/s his work visa expired, & we decided to leave it be since he will not return until late November. We still write each other, and I'm afraid my heart still belongs to him. Why are UK men so sweet?
wretch...not retch - that's trying to be sick when there's nothing in your stomach. Thr other sort is used in two ways - either an unfortunate or pitiable person(not you) or an undesirable or contemptable person (not you) xx Funny how you don't remember it and I remember it so so vividly.
